Ron Rogers is a partner in the firm's Financial Services Section, focusing his practice since 1986 on commercial real estate law. He represents a broad range of clients, including landowners, developers, insurance companies and commercial lenders. The negotiation and closing of commercial real estate transactions comprises a substantial portion of his practice. In addition, he has extensive experience representing clients in re-zonings, variance proceedings and other land use matters. His real estate practice also extends to collection matters, particularly foreclosures, receiverships and guaranty law.

- Obtained a foreclosure order for a client who purchased a past-due promissory note secured by a deed of trust, including the successful defense of the foreclosure order on appeal
- Obtained a sign variance from the Raleigh Board of Adjustment
- Obtained a restraining order stopping the foreclosure of a multi-family development
- Represented the bond holder in the foreclosure of the Orange County Sportsplex Complex
- Obtained a road closing order from a local city council in connection with the expansion of an office park near the Research Triangle Park
- Negotiated a public/private agreement in which the North Carolina Department of Transportation agreed to contribute to the construction of roads within a client's office park
- Secured the appointment of a receivership on behalf of a commercial lender
- Represented a national title company evaluating coverage issues in response to title claims
- Represented company in an asset acquisition, including its secured financing of the transaction by real and personal property located in three states
- Represented lender in deed in lieu transaction involving a troubled shopping center
- Advised client participating in a high-profile historic review board proceeding
- Negotiated purchase contract and thereafter closed the sale of multi-tenant office building
- Advised client regarding the interpretation and enforcement of existing restrictive covenants affecting its property
