Frank Ward is a partner in the Labor & Employment Section at Williams Mullen. He defends employers confronting allegations of discrimination based on race, religion, gender, sexual and racial harassment, national origin, age, retaliation and disability. In addition to defending such actions in state and federal courts, he also represents employers facing such charges before various governmental agencies, including the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the North Carolina and U.S. departments of labor.

- Successfully representing employers before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in cases alleging constitutional violations and discrimination based on a variety of claims, including race, age, retaliation, racial harassment and wrongful discharge
- Successfully moving for summary judgment in all federal courts in North Carolina and South Carolina, securing dismissal of claims alleging discrimination based on religion, disability, race, gender, age, wrongful discharge, retaliation, racial and sexual harassment, and denial of constitutional rights
- Successful representation of a large number of companies with regard to a comprehensive variety of claims of discrimination in charges brought before the EEOC, including race, age, sex, religion, disability, retaliation, and sexual and racial harassment
- Successfully representing employers in numerous mediations that resulted in resolution of a wide variety of claims of discrimination
- Representing employers in negotiating the severance of high-level employees and the drafting of the corresponding releases
