RICHMOND, VA —
Jimmie V. Reyna, international trade attorney and partner in the D.C. office of Williams Mullen, was sworn in today as national president of the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA). The HNBA is a non-profit, non-partisan, national legal bar association that represents the interests of more than 25,000 U.S. Hispanic attorneys, judges, law students, government officials and law professors.
As HNBA National President, Mr. Reyna will lead the vision of the HNBA Board of Governors and support the work of the 19 HNBA regional presidents. The HNBA is dedicated to addressing the legal issues and needs of the Hispanic legal profession and of the U.S. Hispanic community. Mr. Reyna's previous HNBA leadership roles include chairman of the International Law Committee, regional president for Region V (Md., D.C., Va., and W.Va.), and national president-elect.

Mr. Reyna is chair of Williams Mullen's Diversity Committee and he is a member of the firm's Board of Directors. He also serves on the American Bar Association's Presidential Advisory Council on Diversity in the Profession. He is a founding member of the Board of Directors of the U.S.-Mexico Law Institute and serves as a board member of the Community Services for Autistic Adults and Children.
Mr. Reyna's legal practice focuses on international trade policy, international trade regulation, international business and commerce, export controls, and customs. He is the author of two books and numerous articles on trade topics. He has appeared before the U.S. International Trade Administration, U.S. International Trade Commission, U.S. Customs Service, Court of International Trade, Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and various federal and state courts, and foreign administrative and regulatory bodies. He was appointed by the U.S. government to serve as a member of the U.S. rosters of potential panelists for international disputes under NAFTA and the World Trade Organization. Mr. Reyna is fluent in Spanish.
