WASHINGTON, D.C. – Williams Mullen announced today that
Jim Burns has joined the firm's Litigation Section as a partner in the Washington, D.C. office. He will also serve as chair of the firm's Antitrust Practice Group.
Jim has litigated antitrust claims involving a wide variety of issues, including claims of price-fixing, monopolization, unfair competition, market allocations, tying arrangements, exclusive dealing and concerted refusals to deal. He also has extensive experience in antitrust counseling. He has worked extensively with in-house corporate counsel on antitrust compliance issues, having conducted antitrust seminars and led antitrust discussion groups for both corporate executives and staff-level employees. Jim has also handled merger matters before the Federal Trade Commission and the DOJ Antitrust Division. While he has represented a broad spectrum of corporate clients on antitrust matters, Jim has had a particular emphasis on providing such services to clients in the insurance and healthcare industries.
